Vets Night Battle Report

Hello Internet,

Tonight I have some pictures to show of the game I played tonight and the video is going to be uploaded to the London Gamers Association website either tonight or tomorrow.  I played a local vet Darrell and it was a great game.  While it ended pretty one sided, the amount of damage done to each side doesn’t really tell the tale of the game.  It was well fought, good tactics from both end, just turned out Darrell’s dice didn’t want to help him out today.  Darrell plays a SM Bike army, but I appologize I don’t know the full extent of his list, but once the battle report video comes out, which I will post, he explains it.  Here’s my list, the same one I’ve been using now for over 6 months without any changes and am probably 12-0-1 with it since making it.

Vulkan He’Stan
Librarian – Null Zone, Force Dome
Tactical Squad – Powerfist, Flamer, Multimelta, Rhino
Tactical Squad – Power Weapon, Combi-Melta, Flamer, Multimelta
Tactical Squad – Powerfirst, Combi-Melta, Meltagun, Rocket Launcher, Razorback w/ twin-linked plasmagun&lascannon
Dreadnought – Multimelta, Storm Bolter, Drop Pod
Assault Terminators – Thunder Hammers, Storm Shields, Land Raider Redeemer w/ Multimelta, Extra Armour
Vindicator – Extra Armour, Siege Shield
Predator – Heavy Bolters

So we rolled Capture and Control, Pitched Battle and I won for deployement.  This is my deployment, concentration in the middle my objective in between two units and a predator to my right.  His objective is hiding behind the big building in the middle.  He chose to not deploy anything and come in from reserves.  Luckily for me, he was not using Karsarro Khan (which I had actually thought he was doing knowing there was an all bike army, hence the deployement in the middle) and his stuff came on piece meal.  Probably one of the biggest mistakes if I was to say so was him combat squading every unit, making them easier to whither down/panic.  Heres the rest of the photos I took and we’ll wait for the video to get posted.

*None of his units are on in the first photo photo are on the board, and only some are on in the 2nd*

Commission: Chapter Badge

Here is a W.I.P. of a chapter badge I’ve been working on for a client.  Client wanted a sword with a blood drop on the hilt.  Still have some more work to do on it, namely smoothing out the bottom of the sword but otherwise, shape and everything is all done.  What do you think?

Hello world!

Hello internet,

Acez here.  I’ve finally decided to start a blog after all the W.I.P. logs I’ve posted around the web.  This blog is going to be about all my work in the Warhammer hobby, from my Salamanders projects, to my Orcs and Goblins, to my High Elves, Imperial Guard and soon to be new D.I.Y. Space Marine chapter, which I cannot disclose as of yet due to secrecy(you’ll just have to stay tuned).

But lets start off with a little introduction.  I’ve been a hobby enthusiast since I was a wee kid, starting 10 years ago and not having a clue as to what I was doing.  It took a really long time back then to fully grasp the hobby and it’s many techniques.  It wasn’t until I was in university that I really got the hang of things, and started to actually be “involved” in the hobby(before I just collected and butcher painted minis).  I’ve since collected 4 Space Marines army (I seem to be a junkie for the Astartes) including Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Black Templar, and my current army of Salamanders.  As mentioned, there is a new D.I.Y. chapter I’ll be working on very soon that I’ll showcase too.  But enough about the past, let’s talk future.

The future of this blog will have images, tips, army list, and things I come across with my time in the hobby.  I have 4 armies kind of “on the go” so it will include various projects as I mentioned in the first part.  With the new Orcs and Goblins coming out tomorrow, they’ll be a bit of that.  The Catachan 2nd are always looming in the jungle.  The Sallies are never ending in their growth.  The Phoenix King is always in need of protection.  My god, I have too many armies on the go.  Anyways, here’s some photo’s to keep you picture nuts happy.
